Bin Chipping
BinWeigh, a wheeled bin identification and weighing system installed onboard a collection truck gives waste managers much more meaningful source data to manage their collection routes. It gives unprecedented productivity gains and improved waste information right across the waste operation.
The identification system uses a micro chip (tag) reader fitted tot he truck and radio identification (RFID) technology to automatically read the chip during the normal collection routine. Tagging (or chipping) customer's bins is neccessary for implementing an effective bin identification system. Chips are usually installed during manufacture of the bin. Where bins are already in use Vishay PM can retrofit chips on site saving time and money.
