1155 and 1300 Digital Weight Indicators

Specially engineered for onboard tipper use, these digital indicators are versatile displays designed to suit a variety of trucks from 17 tonne to 44 tonne GVW.
In addition the 1300 combines a weight indicator with a rear view monitor. This versatile indicator is suitable for a wide range of truck applications and uses a TFT touch screen to navigate through the available options.

TipWatch

As standard, the 1155 and 1300 indicators combine precision weighing with ‘TipWatch’ a tipper stability program that alerts the driver to a potentially unsafe tipping condition, such as uneven ground or uneven load in the body. When uneven load distribution occurs, an alarm sounds and a warning flashes on the screen. The alarm is activated when the load is more than 40% off centre. A highly-accurate junction box inclinometer measures the level of the ground or body* on which the vehicle stands. A continuous display tells the driver in degrees the angle of the chassis or body. Side-to-side slopes greater than 3 degrees, trigger an alarm sounder.

AxleWatch

Axle weights are displayed, alerting the driver to any axle overload infringement.

Body-up

An audible sounder and on-screen message alerts the driver if the body is raised.

Mounting Versatility

The 1155 is suitable for DIN radio mount, dash mount or trailer mount.

Trailer Identification

Where tractor and trailer combinations are swapped, the 1155 automatically recognises the Vishay PM Onboard weighing system on the trailer, so there is no need to recalibrate every time the trailer is swapped.

Retro-compatibility

Analogue and digital CANbus combine for complete compatibility between old and new systems enabling easy-to-read on-screen error messages should a problem occur.

CANbus is used extensively by truck manufacturers as a versatile electronic system for vehicle management. Controller Area Network is a state-of-the-art method used to carry electronic information between electronic devices.
Every few milliseconds the self-diagnostic signal pulses around the onboard weighing system immediately detecting and displaying any problems. This means load cells can be grouped into pairs or sets to determine the exact position of the weight, giving load distribution information.

Telemetry

GPRS

General Packet Radio Service is a packet-based, wireless communication service for passing data over the mobile phone network. It has become known as ‘always-on data connection’ for GSM mobile phones. It sends packets of data collected by the equipment on the truck, back to base in ‘real time’.

GPS

Global Positioning System lets the system know where the truck is physically located and can be displayed back at the base on electronic web mapping. Web-based vehicle tracking is more cost effective than user-specific maps and can be accessed by any PC linked to the internet.
