Vishay PM Onboard is the market leader in the design, manufacture and service of onboard vehicle weighing systems for wheeled vehicles ranging from vans and light commercials to heavy trucks and shovel loaders. Internally produced bespoke software caters for all your bulk haulage, waste management and recycling requirements.

Our accurate and comprehensive onboard weighing solutions are successfully meeting the challenges faced by local authorities and private operators to improve overall business efficiency.

As the UK’s longest-established onboard weighing company, we have provided customers with top-of-the range onboard weighing systems for over 22 years and have produced our own waste container weighing and ID systems since 1999. Vishay PM Onboard is BSI registered and is accredited by National Weights and Measures for the accuracy and precision of our weighing instrumentation.

Formerly known as PM Onboard we were acquired by Vishay Intertechnology in April 2007. Vishay PM Onboard’s head office is still based in Bradford and houses the company’s specialised departments such as electronics, R&D, software, sales and service. We have additional sales and service offices in Ireland, France, Holland and Belgium and agents in many other countries around the world.

Vishay PM Onboard is part of the Vishay Systems business of Vishay Measurements Group. Vishay Measurements Group develops, manufactures, and markets components, instruments, and systems for a wide variety of test and measurement applications. Vishay strain gage products include electrical resistance strain gages for both stress analysis testing and transducer manufacturing applications, as well as strain gage instrumentation. Vishay PhotoStress® coatings and instruments use a unique optical process to detect stress and other physical forces. Vishay transducer products include load cells, force transducers and instruments. Vishay also manufactures, installs and services systems for weighing and force measurement and control. These include systems with transducers and instruments to control process weighing in food, chemical, and pharmaceutical plants; force measurement systems to control web tension in paper mills, roller force in steel mills and cable tension in winch controls; on-board weighing systems that are installed in logging and waste-handling trucks; and special scale systems for aircraft weighing and portable truck weighing. Vishay Measurements Group is part of Vishay Intertechnology.
